Reasons why you may want a wireless headphone unit for your TVWireless headphone for your TV
There are many reasons why you may want a wireless headphone unit for your TV. Just think of the convenience and the enjoyment one may bring to your home.
First, it is a wireless unit. This mean you will be mobile. Mobility means you can multi task.
A wireless unit also means that you won’t have to worry about being tangled up in cords, cables or wires. You also do not have to worry about pulling the cords, cables or wires out of your television unit and breaking something.
Wireless headphones for your TV are also very simple to use. When you buy a wireless headphone unit it comes with a transmitting unit, too. This transmitting unit is sometimes referred to as the base unit.
You simply plug the transmitter into the output unit of your television that is designed for headphones. Then you turn on the transmitter and the headphone unit.
Sound waves will be distributed from the transmitter to the headphone set. The headphone set it is generally powered from rechargeable batteries. Sometimes the transmitting base unit will also act like a recharging unit for these batteries.
Frequency levels differ between the models and brands of wireless TV headphones. Of course, frequency levels are the distances that one can travel away from the transmitting unit and still have a clear audio sound. Yet, most wireless headphones have a decent amount of frequency that will suit most consumers’ needs.
Since you may now see how easy these wireless headphones unit are to use, you may now be wondering about some circumstances and situations where they may be a benefit to you. Consider these:
You like to watch television late at night. Your spouse does not. You enjoy watching television in bed. You don’t want the sounds to disturb him/her and you don’t want to have to jump up to remove corded headphones from your television set (or they may not reach). A pair of wireless headphones is the perfect solution.
You live with a roommate who has to study for a big test. But you want to watch the game. Turn the television set away from your roommate’s view, plug in your wireless headphone, enjoy the game, and still raid the refrigerator during those commercials.
You finally got the kids to sleep. One child is a light sleeper, who awakes easily to sound. Yet, you want to relax and watch the new movie that is on television. But you know you still need to keep a watchful eye on the kids. The solution is a pair of wireless headphone for your TV.
You like to play video games via your television set. But the noises from them annoy others in the household. You don’t want to annoy them further by having to step over your corded game controllers so you bought wireless ones. Wireless TV headphones would complete your game package and hopefully stop others from being so annoyed with you.
You got a great new DVD of some great new yoga moves. But you don’t want to awake your sleeping husband. A pair of wireless headphones for your TV will allow you to play the video and practice your moves, while your husband can continue sleeping like a baby.
Of course, once you get thinking, you can surely add more to your own list of reasons as to why you may want or need a pair of wireless headphones for your TV.
Now you may wonder where to begin on your shopping endeavor for them.
Begin by figuring out how much you want to spend. Do a budget. Do the math.
Next decide if there is a certain brand name you trust more than others. Brand name items sometimes are better than others. Yet, they can cost more.
Decide whether you want to shop online or at a local store.
Now think about the frequency you may need. To help you decide on this, you may want to consider exactly which TV’s you plan on using and in which rooms. Then you may want to decide on what other activities you think you may be participating in while watching these TV’s.
You should also consider the fact that any wireless headphone that you may buy for your TV can be used with your other audio devices such as: DVD players, VCR’s, computers, stereos, etc.

Protecting Your Kids with Noise Canceling Headphones
Posted on June 24th, 2008 No comments
It seems I today’s world kids have iPods and MP3 players always hanging from their side. Now nothing is wrong with that except they tend to turn the volume on these electronic devices to unacceptable levels and bad results can happen to them. One way parents can help their kids out is with noise canceling headphones. Read further and discover different ways that noise-canceling headphones can actually help your kids and they do not even have to know about.Turning the volume control to excessive levels is probably the number one problem that kids have these days. They love to listen to it loud and if you ask them the louder the better. What most parents do not realize is kids tend to only turn the volume up when they cannot listen to the music they love. The excessive volume though can do a lot of damage to kids without them really knowing about it. Let us look at some ways we can prevent this from happening and helping our kids.
The MP3 player or iPod has become a fixture with kids so the option of getting rid of that is really out of the question so getting them to turn it down to more acceptable levels is really all we have left. Most people will tell you that are really tough, but if you go about it the right way, it really is not that hard. One of my favorite ways to curb it is through noise canceling headphones. This block outside noises that could interrupt the music that kids listen to thus keeping the volume at more acceptable levels. The best part is the design of these newer headphones look very good and kids more than welcome to try them. One of the best ones on the market right now is the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 and 3. Both of these are on the high-end as far as price, but these are some of the top performers in the industry. There are others as well with lower prices by many different companies that you may also purchase. The choice will really be up to you depending on what you are really looking for.
Noise canceling headphones also have another effect that many people do not realize. Since most of the unwanted noise is block, you are also protecting your child’s hearing in two important ways. First, you block outside noises that may be too loud for them and secondly more times than not kids will not turn the volume to excessive levels because they can hear the music on the iPod without any problems at all. In reality all kids want to do is listen to their music in peace and the noise canceling headphones can help do that, but you never have to tell them if you do not want too. In recent years the volume on iPods and MP3 players have been getting louder which in turn over time can cost your child some hearing loss which is something that you do not want them to deal with as they get older.
Many parents worry about if noise-canceling headphones will be accepted by their kids. Well first of all there are many different types and almost every company now makes this headphone. It is one of the more popular ones on the market and most come with a very up to date design, which will appeal to kids of all ages. Kids are just like everybody else they love new things and once they try noise cancellation you will find out that, they will really like them a lot. As far as price goes these headphones, come in all different price ranges so you will have no problem finding a set that you can afford. If you’re worried about finding a set your child will like do not worry there either as they come in all shapes, sizes and designs or something will appeal to them.
The bottom line with noise canceling headphones for kids is they are meant to protect them. Anything that can help save their hearing is something that parents will embrace and welcome as a positive thing. Kids for the most part will also have the same opinion as well. People think kids are hard headed, but you will find out they do not want to lose any of their hearing either. Grab your kids a set of noise canceling headphones and protect them from unwanted noise that could affect them in other ways.

Philips HE591 Surround Sound Ear buds Interesting Concept
Posted on June 23rd, 2008 No comments
Now if you are like me and love surround sound than the Philips HE591 surround sound ear buds was an interesting concept to say the least. I have really never seen anything quite like this so I wanted to see how these would perform. Most of Philips products are very good so I would expect this to be of high quality as well, but is it. Read further to discover if these pass the test and should be purchase or just a waste of your time.Philips headphones are not exactly household names with everybody, but I have had some excellent luck with their products so when I seen the Philips HE591 surround sound I thought why not let see what these have . Design wise these are really not much different than a normal set of iPod ear buds, but that is okay because I was going to use these as a replacement for a bad set I had anyways. The fit was good in my ear, which was something I tend to worry about with products I have never tried before. It gave a good custom fit and seal and I seen no effects even though I wore than for a few hours. All in all a good design and fit so far so well for Philips. Fit and comfort means a lot too many people and I can tell you I am one of those.
No matter what anyone tells you sound quality is something that means a lot to them and I am no different. If it does not sound good than I do not want them I my ears. The HE591 had excellent sound which to be honest I was expecting and it did not disappoint me one bit. Most ear buds let me down in the sound quality part, but these were very good. I try different types of music as well and it seems to play all without any problems at all. The surround sound feature works well to which is something I liked about these. Overall, the sound quality is something that you should be very happy with as it passed all the tests that I ran it through with excellence. The frequency range on this model is 16-22,000 hz, which is good, and the low-end price is something I also like about this product. One small little drawback though I seen is the cable design was not one of my favorites. Did it take away from my enjoyment no, but it was a little annoying though.
A quick recap of the in-ear Philips HE591 shows us a few different things that you should be aware of. First, up you should get a good fit in your ear and it will block out a little of the outside noise, but not a lot. I got a good comfortable fit and had no bad effects even after a few hours on non-stop use so that was a plus for this model. The HE591 comes with surround sound and I will have to admit the sound quality was much better than I could have imagined. It performs through a wide range of music tastes and the low to high-end range was very good so I had no issues at all with the sound quality. The low-end price definitely sweetens the deal on this pair of ear buds as for the quality you get you just cannot beat the price.
Now the real question though is these for you or not? I guess that depends on a number of different factors that you will need to consider. First do you like ear buds. I know many people who do not so that is probably the most important question of all. The second most important questions are what applications will you use these for. These are perfect for iPods and Mp3 players, but anything else really is probably a waste. All-in all if you’re looking for a replacement for your factory ear buds or an upgrade than these are perfect for you. If you need an extra set of ear buds for other applications and want to have surround sound than by all means grab these. I know in the time I have used these I have been really impressed with them and I am sure you will as well. Grab a set and see what I am talking about. The Philips HE591 with surround sound is a very good buy and will perform for you for a very long time.
