X-box 360 Compatible Headphones You Want to Own
Posted on April 26th, 2008 No comments
One of the things that more and more people realize and that is if you are willing to pay the money for an X-Box 360 than why not use all of its features to the fullest. Most people know they have great graphics on the system and a sound card and plenty of memory to download music to. The only thing that you’re missing is a great set of headphone to plug into and get the most out of your newest investment. We have found the top three headphones that you need to use on your X-Box 360 to get the most out of it.On top of our list is the Pioneer Wireless Headphone Model SE-DIR800C and is for the true gamer at heart. If you want to experience all your X-Box 360 is capable of than this is the pair of headphones that you need to own. They bring the games to life and if you play DVD’s or music through your system, the sounds are some of the best I have heard in a very long time. These do run on the high-end scale price wise, but they are well worth the money spent that is for sure. They have integrated Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and are wireless and will run on two AA batteries. The biggest drawback besides the price is you cannot go into other rooms, as the range of these is very limited. As far as sound quality, though it does not get much better than this that is for sure. If you can afford the high-end price than for the true game, you cannot do any better than this set of wireless headphones. This is the Cadillac of headphones for die-hard gamer that is for sure.
For the best all-around performing set of X-box 360 headphones, you will want to go with the Turtle Beach Ear Force X2 Wireless headphones. These are very affordable for almost everyone and very comfortable to wear for people who sit hour after hour in front of the television playing video games. This set gives you a little more freedom and lets you move around more without losing a signal, which is a big plus in gamers’ books. Another big advantage of this set of headphones is you get extra audio cables that will allow you to use these headphones with the rest of your audio equipment and just not your X-Box 360. This set performs well and sound quality is very good, and a lower price should give gamers something to look forward to. If you’re looking for a quality set that will get the job done for you at a lower cost than this set is for you.
Our last entry is the Tritton AX360 Surround Sound Headphones, which will cost you a few more dollars than the Turtle Beach, but not a lot more. The sound quality is up there with wireless headphones costing two or three times the asking price of these. The only drawback is this is not a wireless set so you will need to be aware of this as well. Each ear cup has eight speakers and these will be the ones that produce true Dolby 5.1 sound that give you theater quality sound. The microphone is easily detached when you’re not playing multi-player games. These headphones are not very light, but then again, they are not very heavy either. Over all this set of headphones work well and will provide you many hours of pleasure.
The three headphones listed above will take your game playing to the next level and beyond. Two of them are wireless and the other one is not. Most people do not even realize that there are wireless headphones out there for video games that will make your X-box 360 even more valuable than ever before. You have a big investment in the unit why not get the most out of it with these units. One of the big advantages of wireless headphones is no longer do you have to sit real close to the television set to hear the sound or have to worry about having it too loud. You can also improve your scores on your favorite game, as your concentration level will be much higher than it ever has.
If you’re looking to get a set of headphones, try one of these three and see where your gaming can really go. These have been proven over time to be some of the better ones and are waiting to help you enjoy your X-Box 360 even more.

Tips to Protecting Our Kids Hearing Through Headphones
Posted on April 25th, 2008 No commentsKids are probably one of the bigger users of headphones and many times, they do not realize the damage that can be done to their hearing when using headphones improperly. We have compiled some tips and suggestions to help parents and kids choose the right pair of headphones for their own use. Read further to discover these tips below and get your kids on the right page and protect their hearing.
Most kids who choose a set of headphones do not look for comfort or sound quality the first thing they want is the look of a set of headphones. Each kid has their own idea of which set or style of headphones they like the best so this is where the first problem usually lies. Most kids do not understand that headphones and music cranked up to loud can do damage to their hearing. As parents, it is our job to help them understand that at a very young age. Sony has made a giant stride in this area and should be applauded for their newest release. Sony has released the MDR-222KD that is rated for kids 8 years and older and they are low priced and very affordable for any parent. They come in black for boys and pink for girls so each can have their own. They are designed to limit the noise that goes into the child’s ear to help protect their hearing.
Now a lot of kids do not like things such as headphones that are designed especially for kids so another option parents will want to consider is noise-canceling headphones. Kids love to blast there music as loud as they can, but if the truth was known many times kids turn music up because outside noise around them is interfering with them as they try and listen to their own music. Giving them noise canceling headphones is an option to keep them from increasing the volume on their player and it seems to work well. Let us look a few pair of noise canceling headphones that you should consider for them.
JVC NC-250 is a great pair of noise canceling headphones that are very comfortable to wear and have great sounds through a wide spectrum of music, which is something that kids will love. We all know most kids have a wide variety of music so these should handle that with no problem at all. The noise canceling effects also work very well so it should help keep the volume down on the headset and it will protect your kids hearing from the outside world as well. Another very good option for kids is the Sony MDR-NC22 noise canceling headphones. These pump out great sound and are relatively compact which appeal to kids as well. This set of headphones will do you and kids a great job and the noise canceling features work well and should be consider a must buy if you need great sound and noise cancel features.
Besides getting your kids, noise-canceling headphones there are a few other options that you may also want to consider. Wireless headphones are an option that you have for your kids. The reason many parents go with wireless models is kids tend to not turn the volume up louder on these models because they have the option of wandering around and getting away from distractions. The number one reason kids turn up the volume is because of distractions that make hearing there music tougher. Protecting your child’s hearing will take some effort on your time and it may start with sitting down and explaining what excessive volume on a set of headphones can do to their hearing. Most kids will listen over time, but if they do not getting noise canceling headphones or wireless headphones is always a good place to start.
Overall kids will be kids and giving them as much information as possible is always the best idea. It will take time for kids to understand what you’re saying, but over time, they would understand and eventually listen. Does not pressure let them learn on their own and they are more likely to accept the information you are trying to give them. Sony has taken a giant stride by introducing a kid’s line and they should be commended on their effort. Maybe other companies will follow Sony’s lead and start to introduce other set of headphones designed for kids. I guess we will just have to see if anyone follows there lead.

Posted on April 24th, 2008 3 comments
Are you tired of those inferior isolating stereo headphones that you are listening to right now? Then we have some great news for you the Shure E3c is something that you may be looking for. This is on the high-end price wise, but you will be surprised at what you get for your money. This set of headphones can take your music listening to another level that you have never experienced before. Read further and see why this could be the last set of headphones that you will ever buy again. If you are, a kind of person who listens too many different types of music and want to actually get more out of it then looks no further than the Shure E3c. You will notice several benefits at first glance. One of the first is the extremely compact design. This means you will be able to take this set of headphones wherever you go with no problem at all. High energy drivers for high output give you great sonic definition at all frequencies and low distortion is what you will receive with the E3c. Let us look at these in more detail so we can see if these are a perfect fit for your applications.
The E3c’s is a small compact unit that seems to perform well at all music levels. Many times headphones will breakdown sometime during the different ranges that you put them through. This set will not do that and in fact, it sounds very good through all ranges during tests. The one thing that you will learn about this set of headphones is clarity. What is meant by this is the sounds are clearer and you can hear more sounds than other headphones that I have tried. They come with custom disposable and reusable ear moldings in a custom compact case for carrying the headphones. Most people worry about the fit that these will give you. I can attest that should not be a problem either as they fit extremely well or gave me no problems at all. Being reusable is a nice touch an since you have the option of disposable foam and reusable getting the fit you need will be no problem at all.
Most people are always on the lookout for a set of headphones that will perform and transfer to other applications that they have. Nothing is more frustrating than having around four or five sets of headphones for different electronic devices that you own. Having one makes it much easier and these being portable are a very big plus in many people’s eyes. Some of the headphones that people own are bulky and just plain do not sound as well as we would like. This will end with the purchase of the E3c as it performs well in all aspects of making your music sound like it never has before.
Natural noise attenuation isolates music from loud background noise is also something I like. This process means you can enjoy your music even more as background noise is limited in the interruptions so what comes through is your music. These also have many different applications, which mean that you can use them for portable, home, and even studio applications. Most people who first use the E3c are so impressed they usually use them for every application they have. Most headphones just do not perform when you take them from a MP3 player to a home stereo system, but the Shure E3c does a great job. This is one of the reasons for their popularity.
Overall, this set of headphones is on the high-end price wise, but for the money, you get more than you can imagine. Sound quality is some of the best that you will ever hear from such a small compact unit. They are comfortable to wear and leaving them in your ears for hours will cause no discomfort at all. With the ability to use them for more than one application, this means the higher end price really does not matter. If you’re on the go these are very portable and work well or if you’re home and just want to listen to your home stereo system. You will find some many uses for the E3c that you will probably wonder what took you so long to buy a set of them. Grab a set and see how much better your music sounds with the E3c inserted into your ears and how much more you enjoy listening to your music.

Denon AH-D1000 Great Headphones for Your iPod
Posted on April 23rd, 2008 No commentsSometimes it’s amazing to see people spend upwards of a couple of hundred dollars for an iPod, but do not want to spend the same kind of money on a set of headphones to get the most out of the unit they just bought. Luckily for these people along comes the Denon AH-D1000 a set of headphones from a company many people may not have heard of just yet, but they are quickly making inroads into the market and it does not look like they will be slowing down anytime soon that is for sure. Read further to discover all that is great about the D1000 and how it can make your new iPod really stand out from the crowd like never before.
First look at the Denon D1000 and some will like it and some will not that is just how we are. We each have our opinion good, bad, and indifferent. I personally like the design of these and for most people they will like what they see as well. This set of headphones is moderately priced so it is in the grasp of almost all consumers, which is something that I really like about it. The big over your head models in recent years have really lost its popularity as we tend to gravitate to the ear buds and earphones. I will admit though growing up with these bigger models as a kid, I have always liked this type and the D1000 is no exception. The ear pads are big and very comfortable and will block out some of the outside noise, but it is not a noise canceling set so do not expect a lot of blockage from these. As far as comfort goes these are very comfortable to wear. I wore them for hours and could have worn them for many more. They will not hurt your ears after long use, which is something I really like. They also are lightweight so that should be no problem either. For the size, they are portable as well, which makes them an even better buy.
The headphones come with a 3.5 mm jack for MP3 players and an adapter for 1/4 inch stereo jacks, which is a nice touch if you ask me. You get a four foot cable and a 11 foot extension cable so you have plenty room to maneuver around which is another plus on this model from Denon. Most people wonder how these sound and in a few words not bad at all. Most new companies take awhile to get the sound just perfect and Denon is still working on it, but overall it had very good low-end sounds and high end was what I expected. All types of music seem to play well with them so that really was not an issue. Bass and treble was as expected and did not take away from the listening pleasure which is something I really liked and wished more companies would try instead of trying to over4power the music.
The Denon AH-D1000 is a set of middle of the price headphones that deliver quality performance for the money. You will not be getting the top of the line quality, but then again you’re not paying that kind of money either. You are getting a good sounding set of headphones that will do the job you ask of them and give you hours of great performance. You really cannot ask for anymore than that because that is what you will get. Are they worth the price that they are asking for these? Yes every penny of it as you will not be disappointed in what you get for your money. Many times these middle of the road headphones lack something, but this set has it all and if you’re like me and crave the old style design that seems to have disappeared than the D1000 is what you’re looking for.
Overall the D1000 is a must buy especially if you need a set of headphones for your iPod or even other applications. Most people do not like to spend a lot on a set of headphones so this is a great compromise and should fit well in whatever application that you put it through. Denon has a winner here and in the future look for more products from this company who has made giant steps so far in the models I have seen from this company. Grab yourself a pair of the D1000 and enjoy your music like you have never before.
