ILUV i904 Noise Cancelling Headphones- Getting The Most from These Headphones
The iLuv i904 noise cancelling headphones may be from a company many people have never heard of, but don’t let that scare you away. ILuv makes some great headphones and especially of the noise reduction variety and the i904 is just one of them. We’re going to look at it and see how it performs and if it’s worth spending some hard earned money on.
If you’re like me I don’t like wasting money so a product from a company must perform especially from a company I really don’t know much about. Grabbing the iLuv 904 and my first impressions by looking it over was not bad at all. Looking at the specifications I noticed frequency response was from 20-hz-20kHz not too bad and noise reduction level was -15db which told me it should reduce the noise level I have to listen too. One AAA battery should be able to last up to 58 hours. So far so good as all these numbers look close to what the others have. It also comes with a one year warranty which is usually the standard warranty among this type of headphone.
Construction of the iLuv i904 is actually very good. It comes with an adjustable headband that gives you maximum support. Swivel design and soft-cushioned ear pads provides you comfort for long term use which is something I like. Tight fitting headphones are something I just don’t like as they restrict you and in the end hurt your ears. The i904 has been built with high performance speakers which deliver extend range with a lot less distortion and the ability to handle much higher power output. Distortion is something that is common when you turn the volume up and listen through headphones, but this pair had very little of that. Which are a plus and something that you don’t find very often?
Noise cancelling is a very wide term and it’s been a bone of contention for many different headphone companies. The iLuv i904 noise cancelling circuitry enhances your audio sound quality in a noise environment. It worked extremely well and I had really no complaints with how it worked. The sound quality wasn’t bad at all either. It’s not in the league with the top models, but it’s not on the low end either. It gives you quality sound through a wide variety of ranges which are just what I expected. It also comes with the dual-prong plug for that commuter who needs to travel a lot. This set of headphones would be perfect for that kind of use. Many times on an airplane that noise can become a nuisance and the fully closed ear pieces just help make this model perfect for almost any situation.
Overall this set of noise cancelling headphones works well with digital devices such as the iPod/MP3 players and a built in volume control makes it even better. The i904 performs very well in certain situations and for the most part exceeded what I expected from it. With a low-end price and a one year guarantee this noise cancelling headphones aren’t bad at all. If you need an extra set of headphones or even a new everyday set than this maybe the pair you want to pick up. I don’t think you could go wrong by adding it to your collection that’s for sure.
