i purchased the headphones for my 91 year old father. He has difficulty understanding the TV programs. He loves his new headphones and is once again watching TV and with the range can even turn on music and go outside and listen. Thank you so much.
A GREAT SOLUTION!

My husband has trouble hearing certain words on TV shows and movies. Especially if they are women's voices, voices with accents, or there is music or other sound going on in the background of the show. I bought him these for Christmas hoping it would help and it helps a lot! He can hear a lot more of what is being said and therefore enjoys watching with me now. There is one drawback and that is where the 4 stars some in, rather than 5. If the actual external sound of the TV is too high, he hears an echo in the headphones. That means I need to listen to the TV at a low volume so as not to interfere with his experience. Good thing I have good hearing :-). He says he can turn up the volume on the headset to eliminate that, but is afraid that might do further damage to his hearing. So you can take that into account if you are buying these for the same reason I bought them. I would assume any headset would have the same challenges. We are considering purchasing a second set so...

I purchased these when the ear cups on my older/cheaper Sony wireless headphones started falling apart. This set is definitely a step up. They look great and sound great. As I just got them for Christmas, I have not been able to experiment too much with console/headphone settings, but with just plug and play they have a very good surround sound. I do wish they had more head thumping bass to them (reason for 4 stars, not 5), but like I said it may be in my settings. The big positive is if these ear cups wear out, Sony sells replacements. My old set did not have that option. You get what you pay for and overall, I am very happy with this set and have absolutely no regrets with this purchase. Noisefreeheadphones definately had the best price I could find on the internet.
