This is something new for headphones and do not be surprised if it takes off and more people use it than ever before. The headphones themselves are only available in white or black but the interchangeable ear cups come in the variety of colors. No matter what you think this is something different and I think could catch on very quickly if you ask me. Different colors for the type of mood your in is definitely something different than most companies have tried. You have to give Sony credit for stepping outside the box and trying something a little different. It may be a big winner for them you really do not know until the consumer gets to try them out.

The MDR-Q23 is comfortable clip-on-style headphones and can be worn with a hat. They seem to fit very well and they sound much better than I expected that is for sure. They have good tone and plenty of bass sounds through a wide range of music. I did not really expect much from this set of headphones sound wise and got a lot more than I thought was possible. It uses high-density neodymium magnets and 30mm drivers that produce clear concise sound that you will definitely love. The frequency response is listed between 20Hz to 24,000 Hz. The headphone cable uses a neck chain type, which is design to reduce tangles which it does a very good job at that. The 5-foot main line has an l-shaped gold-played miniplug on it, which works very well. The design of these overall is very good and I had no problem getting them on and off and they were very comfortable. Sony did a good job in the design process and these are well constructed.

Overall, this set of headphones from Sony has a lot going for them. One of the things I really like is the interchangeable ear cups. I do not know how many times I get bored with something and would like a change. This lets me do that and something that I really like a lot. I hope more companies follow Sony's lead and do this. This could be a very interesting concept especially if more companies follow suit. I guess only time will tell on that one. Being a lower-end product price wise I really did not expect a lot on the music side of this set of headphones boy was I ever wrong. These sound very good and produce quality sound for the kind of money you’re spending. The sound is definitely something I really like about these. The headphones are very comfortable to wear and do not become a bother even after long-term use which is something I really do like about them.

This set of headphones give you a lot for the money and it does have great sound to boot so that is something that you will want to consider.
