Sennheiser PXC450 Cutting Noise from Your World

By today's standards, noise is at levels that no one really likes and finding ways to remove it seems to be a daily challenge and this is why many companies are looking at noise canceling headphones as a way around it. Companies from Bose to Sennheiser to Sony are all trying to make the best set around, but today we are going to look at the PXC450 from Sennheiser, which has been touted as very comparable to the Bose QuietComfort3. I do not know about that, but read further and discover if it matches up well against the competition or not.

The PXC450 noise canceling headphones I will admit look very nice and the design really caught my eye. Many people look at cosmetic features first and I will admit I am one of those. They do look nice and are foldable so they will be easy to transport which is another feature that I really like. This model from Sennheiser has many upgrades from previous models so I was interested to see how much of an improvement these actually got. The bulky battery compartment was something I hated in previous models and they have done away with that. You have an AA battery that is located in the right-hand earphone and it is reported it will last around 20 hours. Now it is not rechargeable which is fine with me as I am not a big fan of rechargeable batteries anyway. Unlike the Bose model, the PXC450 lets you still use the headphones without the noise-canceling element if your battery goes dead which is something the Bose model will not let you do. Nothing can be more upsetting than having your battery go dead and not to be able to use your headphones. This model does not let that happen, so you actually are getting two pairs for the price of one.

Many times when you have headphones on you really cannot hear anything and if you need to hear announcements or other things, you must take them off. This model has a Talk Through feature that lets you hear conversations and announcements without you having to take the headphones off. This is great for airplane rides or if you use these at home and you have kids or you needed to hear the phone or other things. This is one of the nice touches added by Sennheiser to this model. As far as comfort, these also perform very well. Most people worry about if you can wear this long term, as I had no issues at all with them. The ear cups fit well around your ears and are comfortable to wear for hours. Most people will never wear them for long hours, but it is always good to know that if you need to they will be comfortable. Sound quality is also something people want to know about. Sennheiser headphones always seem to have great sound quality and this model does as well. You will get great bass and treble sounds throughout the music scale. It really does not matter what type of music that is pumped through these headphones it all seems to sound very good. From low to high range, it handles it all. Distortion was no fact at all even when turned up at the higher levels. I was amazed at the clean crisp sound that this model produces. I was very happy with this part of the headphone.

Noise canceling headphones seem to be getting more popular and I can tell you these stack up very well against anything on the market right now. It blocked most of the outside noise and made listening to music much more pleasurable. The two added features of being able to use them if the battery goes dead was something I liked. Toss in the Talk Through feature and you have a set of headphones that can do the job for you. Sennheiser quality means you know these will last for many years to come as well. Most noise canceling headphones break down I one area, but these seem to work very well and would grab a set of these. The Bose QuietComfort3 has some competition and it is in the form of the PXC450 from Sennheiser. Grab yourself a pair and hear great sounds without the annoying noise from the outside world bugging you again. Noise canceling headphones are going to be one of the most popular type of headphones in the future so grab a pair that will get the job done for you and that is the PXC450 from Sennheiser.
