Let Noise Beware the Sennheiser PXC450 Reviewed

In the high end market of headphones many different players are trying to get you to see why their product outshines the other. The Sennheiser PXC 450 Noise guard can make a strong case why it could be consider one of the top noises canceling set of headphones on the market today. Sure they are expensive compared to most models, but one you get for your money is hard to believe. Lets see why this might be the last set of headphones that you ever buy.

Now one of the first things to do is not even think about the price and you will see why as we look at this set of headphones. This set is large in size, but don't let that scare you away as these beauties fold up into a compact shape for easy travel and works great if youre on the go all the time. The come in an easy zipper case so they will be protecting from the outside elements which is a nice added touch from Sennheiser. The design of these is nice, but they do look somewhat like the Bose quiet comfort which is probably the model they will compete against the most anyway. The right ear cup holds the single AAA battery which powers the unit and its noise canceling operation and the left ear cup holds the detachable audio cable. This saves people from losing the cable all the time or damage being done. The cable is pretty thick and around 55 inches long so it will work for almost any application you may have.

Overall the fit and comfort of the PXC 450 was very good and no problem wearing this long term if that is what you need to do. Since these are a noise canceling type of headphone I wanted to see how well they would work in this arena. Surprisingly these cancelled more noise than I thought they would. Man high frequency hissing sound that was around me was eliminated so I do have to give thumbs up for that part of this set of headphones. Music nowadays comes in all different types and how they sound through headphones can vary from one set to another. The PXC 450 though handles it all with ease. Bass sounds are crisp and clean and distortion was almost non-existent with increased volume.

Now if you don't like the noise canceling affect that these produce you can also shut that off if you want. To switch to passive mode all you do is hit a switch on the ear cup and your there. This will save you on your battery life especially if you have no extras available to you. This next feature is one of my favorites and I wish everyone would include this on their headphones and that is a talk through button. This button will mute the music and activate an external microphone so you can have a conversation without having to remove yournoise canceling headphones, a great feature that more companies need to adopt.

Clearly the Sennheiser PXC 450 is one of the best models out there. If you can get pass the high price tag than this is one set that you will want to add to your collection. It excels in all phases of bringing the best sounding music to your ears and that is something we all want.
