Sennheiser HD 435 Headphones A Cut Above the Competition

Most people have heard of the Sennheiser stereo headphone name for very good reason they make a quality product at a good price that seems to outshine most of the competition in the market today. Surprisingly many people though still have not heard of this company or how well their products work. Today I thought I would try their HD 435 and see how well they stack up. Most of the products that I have tried from them have been good so I was excited to actually see what the HD 435 can actually do when I put it through the tests.

They say impression is very important with a set of headphones, but I really do not buy into that argument very much. The HD 435 is nothing earth shattering, but then again, they are nice looking and look modern. They have a medium weight and size to them and these are more geared to the price conscious consumer so in reality you really cannot expect a lot. One of the big pluses that I have always given Sennheiser headphones is the ability to put a long enough cord on their models. Most companies will put to short of a cord and it becomes a problem that most people including myself hate to deal with that is for sure. It is made out of soft material, which means your head, and ears will be in comfort, which is something that I always look at very closely. The range of adjustability was very good so that means different sizes heads should have no problem wearing the HD 435.

Volume control was built into the cord towards the bottom and seems to work very well. Durability is always an issue with corded volume controls, but this one seems to work excellent so you should have no problem at all in this area. As far as comfort level, they are good for the most part and I really do not see you having any trouble with that. They fit snug on your ears, but not too tight as to cause you pain or pressure on your ears so I did like that a lot. This unit comes with a carrying bag and adapters for almost any application that you may run into which is a nice touch from Sennheiser.

The listening tests though for most is the one thing that they look at more than anything is and I am no different. Using a wide variety of music genres is something I do to make sure it has equal sounds throughout the music spectrum. This unit performed well in this part of the test as the bass was clear sounding and the other tones throughout the musical spectrum were good as well. By listening to a wide variety of music you usually can pinpoint a problem with a set of headphones. This one seems to have none as far as the music test went. Many people today also use headphones for gaming and movies and I am no different so I thought I would give that a try as well. In both cases the HD 435 performed just as well as it did in the music portion of the testing.

Listening to movies and video games is very different from music and I was surprised at how well it did perform in different tests. In the gaming aspects, you are transported into your own world, as the sounds are good and direct which in turn lets you concentrate on the video game more and block out what is going out on the outside world. I noticed higher score was something I got when I had them on. This could be the result of outside noises not interfering with game play.

The Sennheiser HD 435 performed well in a variety of tests and should easily give you very good performance. It has good overall feel and sound and you get the Sennheiser quality backing you up so that should not be a problem at all. It is in a mid-range price so it has a lot of competition out there that it must go up against. For the money, though this set of headphones does a very good job and should be able to handle whatever you throw at it with no problem at all. In the end this set of headphones performs and does everything, we expected it to do and more. You really cannot ask any more than that of a product.
