Philips usually comes up with quality performing products and for the most part these headphones do perform well as can be expected. The noise canceling effect was decent, but nothing that great. One of the things I liked about this product was the braided cord as it worked very well. Another plus that I'd liked was these aren't really expensive. This makes judging performance more important to me. I don't expect performance to be the greatest but somewhere at acceptable levels.

This set of headphones was acceptable as far as the performance level goes. Comfort level especially in your ears can sometimes be a problem. This set was in for hours and works well with hardly any discomfort at all. This in fact is a very important part of the headphones for many people. Sound can be just as important as comfort for many people. I wasn't expecting a lot of great sound out of these as they are on the low end as far as price. Sound quality wasn't too bad and I really have no complaints about it.

So, are these worth the money? The bottom line is the Philips HN060 is a low end type of headphone. The cost sometimes relates to the type of quality you’re going to get and this is true with this model. Considering the price these really aren’t that bad. Many people may feel they should get more for their money, but remember these are on the low end of the scale. This means you’re not getting the best. If you understand this then you should have no problems with this set of headphones at all. Does the Philips HN060 over deliver? No, but it certainly doesn't under deliver either. It's really somewhere in the middle and as long as you understand that than this set of headphones should accomplish most any job you put them through.

The Philips HN060 has many different uses which makes it a good choice. The compact design also is a nice touch. Many times you will find that headphones are either uncomfortable or just don't do the job in the end. You pay your money and you are disappointed in the performance and the sound. This set gives you your money's worth and you should have trouble-free operation from these. Just take into the fact these are designed on the low end scale and you should have no trouble at all. Don't over expect and you will be fine? Remember that Philips products are well designed and most of the time is low end products to begin with.
