IPod Downloads Reviews

IPod Downloads Finding Your Way to Better Downloads

For most getting downloads for the iPod only one name that keeps popping up is Apple iTunes, but did you know that is not the only place to get downloads to enjoy. People just think that they can only get downloads from one of two web sites, but I have good news that is not true. Many more opportunities are popping up for iPod owners to download, music, games, and video to their players. If you’re really not sure of your options, let me show you what is available. People tend to go to places where they have had luck before at. This doesn't mean that other avenues have not opened for you.

IPod music download sites seem to be popping up everywhere, but you must know a few things about them. Some of these sites are really good while others you just want to stay away from. There are three basic models that these all center around and let's look at those. First up is the subscription site. This site charges you a monthly fee for access to the downloads; now this fee can vary widely depending on different factors. Most subscription base fees let you download only a certain amount of tunes or videos. After that most will charge you on a per item basis. What this means is after you pass the limit they let you download it a per use charge. This can really add up so be careful when going with this type of subscription.

The second type is a per music download. This is what iTunes does where you pay for each download that you get, if you are a casual user than this probably will work best for you. The advantage of this is more and more companies are getting into this type of pay per music. Companies like Amazon, Wal-Mart, and emusic is using this model right now. There is a price war on the per music download so check out for the best deal as it seems to always be changing., when you get bigger companies that come into this market the price will drop. Music downloads are a billion dollar business and everyone seems to want a piece of the action. When you do deal with a reputable company like a Wal-Mart you know you will get a quality product which means usually better customer service.

Last type of download is the unlimited version. This is for the heavy user of download sites. You pay a certain price and you get lifetime use to the site. More people are choosing this option especially if they download a lot of music and videos. With all the new sites popping up security and spyware has really been an issue for many people. The key is to do a little research about the place you are planning to join. Ask around and see if any of your friends have had luck with a certain site. This will help you make a good decision on which one to join. Now after all of this which is best for you? This of course depends on many things.

If you someone who has a variety of interest and love your iPod than you will want to go with an unlimited download membership. If you only get downloads every so often than the best thing for you would be to go to the pay per download. What most people don't understand is that there are so many sites out there right now finding the perfect one for you will take some time.

IPods have really seen a rapid growth and they are being used for more than just music. People are downloading audio books and videos at a very fast rate also. This will also factor into what kind of site you may join. ITunes has probably the most vast download area of any company on the net. They also give you access to a ton of podcasts which is something that many of the membership sites don't have. Everybody is different and what appeals to one person may not appeal to someone else. For most the pay per use is best.

With video becoming more popular on iPods look for just video only websites to start popping up. Video is the future of the iPod and it doesn't look like that will slow down anytime soon either. Music will still be a big seller, but it will come in a video form more often than not. For the longest time we got away from this type of format, but it has made a big splash the last few years.

In the end getting the best deal is what we all are looking for, Apple iTunes probably have the biggest selection of anyone around, you must pay per use fee the if you use iTunes which many people don't like. If you like unlimited downloads than a membership site is where you should go. It all depends on what your preferences are.
