Ditch the Wires Let's Go Wireless with the Sennheiser RS130

Year after year it seems I would always break my headphones as the cord seemed to get in the way. I have been a little worried about trying wireless headphones, but thought I would give the Sennheiser RS130 a try. The name Sennheiser was probably the biggest selling point, but I was tired of having to buy so many headphones so going wireless was really my only choice left.

The first thing that caught my eye with the Sennheiser RS130 was the design. It was sleek and well design and surprising very comfortable. Now looks are great, but performance means the most to me. Back to the looks though, they fit snug, but not too tight as I hate headphones that restrict your head or weigh a lot and makes you feel like you have a football helmet on. The RS130 was just right and felt good on my head. One great advantage is the RS130 is open aired which means you can also hear some external sounds so you are not totally blocked out from the outside world.

You will find the volume controls on the right earpiece and a frequency jump button is also included in case you run into some interference. Both work well and our nice touches I must say on the RS130. On/off button is on the left earpiece. The controls are pretty easy to use which is important to users if you’re a seasoned pro or just a newbie. The bas is also easy to operate as it only has two buttons on it. One will activate the surround sound mode and the other will let you select one of three channels for your listening pleasure. Recharging this model is one of my favorite things as you just have to set them on the stand. The contacts are in the op of headphones and once on the stand they immediately start charging.

The claims are a single charge will last around 20 plus hours which are very good indeed. The unit I had worked very close to those numbers in fact. You will get around 100 meters as your range. After that though it there is a tendency to fade. As far as performance these wireless headphones sound very good. Wide ranges of music work well with these so you won't be restricted and stuck listening to something you don't want to. All ranges of music from low too middle and high perform passed my expectations. These work just as well with video games and movies as well. This means the RS130 can do more than just one job which makes it a very good value.

All in all the RS130 is a very good value for the price. You get the Sennheiser quality built into them, a quality feeling headset along with a great set of headphones for more than just listening to music. The RS130 performs exceeding well in many areas and makes wireless headphones definitely something to look into if you want to ditch the wire mess and go wireless.
