Best Noise Cancelling Headphones- The Best of the Best
The sound of silence is very tough in the kind of world we live in today. In fact you would be hard pressed to find quiet anywhere anymore. If you want to listen to your favorite music or just watch, a movie trying to keep the noise down many times is impossible unless you use noise cancelling headphones to help you get the job done. We have looked hard and long and found some that will let you enjoy that music or movie in some peace and quiet.
When people hear the name Bose the first thing that comes to mind our great sounding speakers, you’re not going to associate them with one of the best noise cancelling headphones on the market. Well you better start as their Bose Quiet Comfort 3 with its on ear fit and superior cancellation ranks as the best of the best on the high end of the scale. Yes, these are pricey, but sometimes you have to pay more to get one of the best around. These are lightweight only weighing 6 ounces and have plenty of added extras that make them a must buy.
Many times people don’t want to spend a great amount of money on a pair of noise cancelling headphones so there is the JVC HA-NC80-J/-C which is cheaper on your wallet, but you still get great sound quality from these. The noise cancelling reduction will not be anywhere near the Bose Quiet Comfort than again you’re not paying a high price for these either. Sound quality is where these really excel. Through the whole range of music you will get clear concise sound quality with plenty of bass if that is what you crave. You will be hard pressed to find a better pair for the price and noise reduction you get from this set of headphones.
Our third entry into the best noise cancelling headphone is the Sony MDR-NC22. Sony has always produced great products and I was a little leery of the NC22 since it was an inside your ear model, but after a few hours of use that was wiped away really quickly. It’s really compact and pumps out great sound throughout the spectrum. You will really notice the low end and midrange area is where it really does an excellent job. The noise reduction is good and won’t overtake the Bose but then again you’re not paying the price of a Bose either. One shortcoming it did have was no volume control on the clips that most in-ear headphones have. That was really the only short coming I’ve seen in the NC22. It cancels out a good deal of noise and the sound is very good. Toss in the Sony name and you can see why this one is on my list.
The best noise cancelling headphones is always changing so being on the lookout for new products all the time. The three above were chosen for their quality and variety of things they can do. Every person is different and the amount of noise that they cancel will indirectly come from the type of noise that is around you. Nothing will block out 100 percent of the noise. It’s just not possible just yet. I’m sure they are working on it though, right now though these are the best in the noise cancelling headphone department.
