Acoustic Research ARE05 Noise Isolating Headphones

Over the past few years I have tried a few Acoustic Research products and have been very impressed with what they have produced an accomplished. The other day when my ear buds dies I thought to be let us give this company a try and see what they may have for me. The Acoustic Research ARE05 is what I found. It seems no matter where you look these days from young kids to older Americans they have an iPod or a MP3 player hanging from their belt loop or in their hands and I must admit I am not different. Many companies now make in-ear noise isolating headphones, but I choose to take a look at the Acoustic Research ARE05 because I have had good success with this company before. Let us look and see how the ARE05 stacks up.

Design wise I really like these as they have a sleek black look that looks like these would be solid performer. I know that is not always a guarantee that they will be, but it helps in my book at least. One of the first things to look for especially when you are talking about in-ear headphones is the fit. Most companies anymore give you more than one option and this company does as well. The Acoustic Research ARE05 comes with three different sleeves so you can get yourself a custom fit. The sizes come in small, medium, and large so you should have no problem at all finding a perfect fit. When I inserted these it took me a few seconds to get a great fit, but it was much easier than I expected and better than many other models I own so I give them credit for that end of it. After a few hours of listening to music, I am happy to report these still have a great fit and also block some outside noise, which is something I really liked about these.

No matter what anyone tells you sound is king and even though I sometimes do not want to admit it, I value it just as much. The Acoustic Research ARE05 sound quality overall was pretty good. You get detailed accurate sound across a full frequency range of 20Hz-20Khz. High performance 16mm Neodymium drivers also help give that detail sound that you hear from these in-ear headphones. Over the sound quality was very good with plenty of bass, soft and hard tones as well as the ability to handle different types of music. The mid and high range was excellent on these as well so I must commend the company on a great job with the sound that this set does produce.

The natural noise isolation of these in-ear headphones is very important as well. When you are trying to listen to your tunes, you do not want outside distractions bugging you. I liked the noise isolation feature on these and it did a very good job.

A quick look back at the Acoustic Research ARE05 and many different thoughts come to me. The first one is these are lightweight with a sleek design and well constructed. You will get a great fit and you can wear these for hours without any problems at all. If you are worried about sound quality, do not as these are solid performers. The low-profile connector fits almost any 3.5mm jack including the iPhone, which for many headphones is tough, but not for the ARE05. Natural noise isolation along with great sound makes this a perfect replacement for those factor ear buds that comes with an iPod or MP3 player.\

All in all this set of in-ear headphones have many great things going for them. Most people will wonder are these worth the money. After checking them out and seeing how well these perform, I can say these are definitely worthy of a purchase. If you have a set of ear buds that are about to die or need something that a little different than grab yourself a set of these. The Acoustic Research ARE05 is a solid performer that will do the job for you. Many in-ear headphones are overrated, but these works well give you noise isolation and a great fit.
